The WMBA is a not-for-profit community club based basketball league
located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Our Fall/Winter League is open to
boys & girls ages 5-18 and runs from mid-October through tomid-March. The league also offers a Spring league running April to June.
GAME DAYS & AGE DIVISIONS The Fall/Winter League Community Club teams will be separated into the following age divisions... Saturday Games * (games can range from 9 am - 6 pm) 5-7 Coed, 8-9 Girls, 8 Boys, 9 Boys, 10 Girls, 10 Boys, 11 Girls, 11 Boys (note: age divisions subject to change)
Sunday Games * (games can range from 9 am to 6 pm) 12 Girls, 12 Boys, 13 Boys, 14 Boys, 13-14 Girls, 15-18 Girls, 15 Boys, 16-18 Boys (note: age divisions subject to change)
* all teams will also practice one during the weeknights over the course of the program Eligible ages for Fall/Winter 2010-2011 include...(age as of December 31st, 2010)

PROGRAM TIMELINES
- The fall/winterleague will run mid-Octoberthrough until mid-March.
- Club teams will participate in 16 regular season games plus a minimum of a 2-game playoff.
- Teams will also be practicing once per week during the weeknights
at an area school (exact day and time of the practice is set by the
club). Practice times range Monday to Friday, 6-10 pm.
- Games run one hour in length.
- Coaches and volunteers are always needed to help with the program - speak with your Basketball Convenor at registration or CONTACT US to get involved!
REGISTRATION
- You are to register at the NEAREST participating club in your area and is based on the primary residence of the player.
- Registration fees range between $175.00 -$200.00 per person and are set
by the community centre. Fees go towards the costs of gym rental,
referees, insurance, awards and administration.
- Note: The listed ‘Registration Fee’ is set by the home
community centre and is based on the WMBA fee to the club for entering
a team. In the 2010-2011 Fall/Winter League season, the WMBA will charge $1465.00 per
team.
